OSI Vietnam stands out as one of the very few professional and transparent companies
in Vietnam, specializing in STUDY ABROAD - TOURISM - IMMIGRATION - FINANCIAL
Understanding the concerns of parents whose children are studying abroad, especially students under 18 years old, every year, OSI Vietnam International Education Consulting Company always creates conditions for parents of students to meet directly with representatives from the schools their children are studying at.
Recently, a parent meeting with Mr. Greg Ladd, the Director of International Admissions at Saint Thomas More Boarding School in Connecticut, USA, was held in a warm and engaging atmosphere. This annual event is a key initiative by OSI Vietnam International Education Consulting Company to foster meaningful connections and support.
During the meeting, Mr. Greg Ladd provided detailed feedback on the academic performance and behavior of each student to their parents. For students with excellent results, he offered praise and encouragement to keep up the good work. For subjects where scores were lower, he highlighted areas for improvement, enabling parents to actively support their children in boosting their academic performance.
In return, Mr. Ladd attentively listened to parents' feedback regarding their children's living and learning conditions at school. Topics such as study schedules, Wi-Fi, curriculum design, and dormitory facilities like electricity and water were raised and discussed thoroughly by the parents.
This meeting not only strengthened the bond between the school and families but also ensured that the needs of both students and parents are heard and addressed effectively.
Mr. Greg Ladd, Director of International Admissions at Saint Thomas More Boarding School, has collaborated with Dr. Lê Bảo Thắng, Director of OSI Vietnam International Education Consulting Company, for over 15 years.
Mr. Lê Bảo Thắng shared:
“OSI Vietnam not only supports students from the very beginning in choosing the right school but also assists them throughout the application process, completing procedures, and preparing for interviews until they successfully obtain their visa. Beyond that, the company continues to accompany students during their studies abroad and even after graduation.
We also plan and organize parent meetings—something that few other international education consulting companies can achieve. This is because we deeply understand the worries of parents whose children must live independently abroad, especially those under 18 years old.
There are countless challenges, including language barriers, cultural differences, and unexpected daily issues. By creating opportunities for parents and schools to work directly together, we can resolve concerns and provide the necessary support for students.
Moreover, if students feel uncomfortable sharing their issues directly with their teachers, they can always speak with OSI Vietnam's advisors, who can help convey their needs and wishes to the school effectively.”
Ms. Nguyễn Ngọc Ánh, the parent of Nguyễn Ngọc Nam Ân (born in 2007, a senior at Saint Thomas More Boarding School), shared her experiences during a meeting with Mr. Greg Ladd. Over the past three years, OSI Vietnam has arranged annual parent meetings with the school every October and March. During these meetings, issues raised by parents are reviewed with the students for verification, addressed promptly, and followed up with direct email feedback to the parents.
For instance, last year, after Ms. Ánh expressed her daughter's desire to have more Vietnamese dishes on the menu, the school added options like white rice, boiled vegetables, and chicken rice to the students’ meals.
Reflecting on her three-year journey with OSI Vietnam, Ms. Ánh noted the company’s dedication, thoughtfulness, and consistent support for both students and parents.
“Although I researched many other study abroad consulting firms, what made me trust OSI Vietnam was their professionalism, expertise, and heartfelt commitment.
The fact that the company organizes such parent meetings is incredibly unique and invaluable. It gives me the opportunity to share and provide direct feedback to the school about my child’s needs and concerns.
Thank you, OSI Vietnam, for keeping me informed and ensuring my daughter’s academic and personal well-being abroad,” she said.
As Nam Ân is her daughter, Ms. Ánh admitted she had many worries about her studying and living alone in a foreign country. However, the experience has helped Nam Ân grow, becoming noticeably more independent and mature.
“Now, Nam Ân not only takes care of herself, plans her studies, and manages her time effectively but also helps new Vietnamese students at the school. Whenever a new student arrives, Nam Ân proactively meets them, gives them a tour of the campus, and guides them through registration procedures, uniform purchases, and more,” Ms. Ánh proudly shared.
OSI Vietnam continues to provide excellent services by organizing direct scholarship interviews for students, ensuring thorough preparation and guidance for their academic journey abroad.
Mr. Greg Ladd and Mr. Lê Bảo Thắng Review Scholarship Interview ApplicationsDuring this occasion, OSI Vietnam organized in-person scholarship interviews, allowing Mr. Greg Ladd to directly award scholarships to several Vietnamese students, instead of following the school’s usual online interview process. One of the candidates, Lê Ngọc Uyên Vy, a 10th-grade student specializing in Mathematics at Nguyễn Thượng Hiền High School (Tan Binh District), admitted to feeling nervous before the interview. She diligently prepared by practicing answers to common interview questions and learning advanced vocabulary to make a positive impression. Vy shared that thanks to OSI Vietnam, she was able to highlight her strengths and showcase her practical communication skills during the face-to-face interview with Mr. Greg Ladd. “Thanks to OSI Vietnam, my study abroad journey has become much smoother. For documentation, I just had to send photos of my papers to the company, and OSI Vietnam took care of the translation. They also provided guidance to help me choose the school that best fits my goals,” Vy said. This personalized support and seamless coordination are a testament to OSI Vietnam’s dedication to ensuring a successful path for students aiming to study abroad. OSI Vietnam always follows and supports Uyên Vy (in white) on her study abroad journey. |
